Legislation on feed for the European Union is described in directive 2002/32/EC. This is a different legislation than that is applicable for food for human consumption. For exactly this reason Primoris registers animal feed samples differently so that the results are shown next to the right legislation.

Just as food for human consumption, animal feed is increasingly traded internationally, thereby transforming the organization of animal feed production and consumption globally. Today, progress towards an integrated global food and animal feed safety system is made but challenges remain to keep track of all different food safety legislations and changes thereof.
